Viola Browning Hite Dell in 1947. He was a very dear man. I believe he was born in Kentucky at the Pleasant Hill Shaker Harrodsburg KY. Here is his obituary from Louisville Courier Journal "THE COURIERJOURNAL, LOUISVILLE, KY. THURSDAY MORNING, AUGUST 1, 1968 A 20 Deaths Elsewhere Louisville-Area Deaths and Funerals:
First Taylor Cemetery Chief, J. W. Dell, Dies James W. Dell, first superintendent of Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday at the Veterans Administration Center at Bay Pines, Fla. He was 91. Dell, a native of Henry County, Ky., also had been a superintendent of national cemeteries in Nebraska and
Texas. Dell served as a pallbearer at Arlington National Cemetery for the Unknown Soldier of World War I on Nov. 11, 1921. He served for 32 years in the Army, retiring as a master sergeant. He was a Spanish-American War veteran. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mrs. Luther S. Wetherby, St. Petersburg, Fla., and a stepson, C. W. Wesley, Klamath Falls, Ore. The funeral was Tuesday at St. Petersburg. Graveside services were Wednesday at St. Augustine (Fla.)
