Died-At the residence of Mrs. Ford, two miles east of town, on Friday November 27, 1891, at 5:10 o'clock p.m., Mrs. Eveline Mason, aged 74 years and 24 days.
Mrs. Mason was laid at rest in the Masonic cemetery at 3 o'clock Saturday evening, In her death Gonzales looses one of its oldest inhabitants, and whose early history of the republic and all the trials and hardships of the times. Hers was a long and useful life, and with all the early and patriotic settlers, leaves a glorious land as a heritage purchased by the blood of patriots and hardships almost unendurable.
