Survivors include son, James of Connecticut; daughter, Kathryn of Virginia; grandsons, J. Christian Swindal and Jonathan Swindal, both of Connecticut; great-grandson, Mason Swindal, also of Connecticut.
Mrs. Swindal was the youngest of 13 children of the late James & Sarah Glover.
She began her career as a military wife and mother in 1942. She and her husband retired to Cocoa Beach, FL in 1972.
Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, July 9, 2008.
