COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY - 10/15/2008 Eugene Arnold Jr., 83, passed away Tuesday morning October 14, 2008 at his home. He was a retired boiler maker a member of the Brotherhood of Boiler Maker of Local 40 and oldest past Exalted Ruler of the F.O. Elks 270. He was a veteran of WWII serving in Iwo - Jima in the 5th Marine Division, United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his wife Sonia L. Arnold and his parents Eugene Sr. and Ruth Arnold. Survivors include 2 Sons:Gary Arnold Lanesville, IN Mark (Donna) Arnold Floyds Knobs, IN 1 Daughter: Cynthia L. (Jesse) Vertrees New Albany, IN 2 Brothers: Jack Arnold New Albany, IN Robert Arnold Corydon, IN 3 Grandchildren: Matt Arnold, Michael Arnold, and Ian Vertrees Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday Morning at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Visitation will be 3 - 8 PM Thursday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Expressions of sympathy may be given to the American Cancer Society Burial will be in Edwardsville Cemetery.
