"Green, T. Pinkney, Private, Born in Rutherford County and resided in Cleveland County where he as by occupation a farmer prior to enlisting in Cleveland County at age 20, November 21, 1861. Present or accounted for until wounded at or near Mechanicsville, Virginia, June 26, 1862. Returned to duty in January-February, 1863. Captured at Falling Waters, Maryland, July, 1863. Confined at Old Capitol Prison, Washington, D. C., July 23, 1863. Transferred to Point Lookout, Maryland, August 8, 1863. Paroled at Point Lookout on January 17, 1865. Received at Boulware's Wharf, James River, Virginia, January 21, 1861 for exchange."
