A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2003, in Fuiten Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home in Forest Grove for Karen E. "Betty" Alexander Andrews, who died April 21 at age 64.

Elizabeth Alexander was born July 14, 1938, in Forest Grove. She changed her name legally to Karen when she married Karl E. Andrews in 1974. She graduated from Forest Grove High School and served in the Coast Guard. She lived in Condon and Anchorage, Alaska, and was a real estate agent in Seattle. She returned to Forest Grove in 1988. She moved to Grants Pass in January. In 1962, she married Eddie Poteet; they divorced.

Survivors include her husband; mother, Amy Belle Alexander; sister, Jean-Marie Alexander; and brothers, James Preston Alexander, Dwaine M. Alexander and Bruce C. Alexander.
