SAD DEATH NEAR RUSSELL
Miss Maude Bennett, who is well known in this city, died suddenly at the home of her parents near Russell last evening at seven o'clock. She had not been feeling well for several weeks, being threatened with typhoid fever, although she was able to be about. She was taken suddenly worse yesterday afternoon and expired a few hours later.
Funeral services will be tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, at the M. E. church at Russell.
Miss Bennett was, for over a year, one of the efficient operators at the Bell Telephone office, and later learned the millinery trade under Miss Mae Youtsey at this place. Last season she trimmed at Stratford and expected to return there this fall.
She had a host of friends in Chariton who will be greatly grieved at the news of her sudden demise.
