George Struck, 53, life resident of Davenport, and formerly assistant foreman in the printing department at the Rock Island Arsenal for 25 years, died at his home, 2033 Lillie avenue at 5 a.m. today, following a lingering illness.

Born on July 2, 1881, in Davenport, he was educated in local schools. On May 2, 1906, he was married here to Miss Emma E. Schmidt. The couple have made their home here since that time. Mr. Struck retired six years ago because of ill health.

Mr. Struck was a member of St. John's Methodist church. He was affiliated with Trinity lodge, A. F. & A. M. Modern Woodmen of America and Mohassan Grotto.

Surviving besides his wife, are one daughter, Mrs. Henry Newman (sic); four sisters, Mrs. Theodore Jansen, Mrs. Ed Meadley, Mrs. William Paarmann and Mrs. Robert Pringle, all of Davenport; two brothers, Harry Struck, Davenport, and Hugo Struck, California; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Beatrice Newman (sic), Davenport.

The body was taken to Runge's mortuary where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., Trinity lodge will have charge. Burial will be in Oakdale cemetery.

Funeral services for George Struck who died Sunday at his home, 2033 Lillie avenue, were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Runge's chapel, Trinity lodge, No. 208, A. F. and A. M., with George Stewart as worshipful master, was in charge of the services at the chapel and grave in Oakdale cemetery. The Rev. Frank A. Court officiated.

Mrs. Fannie Schnitger Martin sang two hymns.

Bearers were August and Carl Beeker, Alex Ramsey, Henry Richter, H. W. Newman and Charles Hard.
