Howard was born March 14, 1921 in Morgantown, WV the son of the late John L. and Emma Jean Mayfield Eggleston.
He was a retired employee of Ormet and a protestant by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Crim Eggleston (1992); brother, Kenneth Eggleston; son, Leslie Eggleston; granddaughter, Linda Heasley Lancaster; a step-grandchild and a step-great grandchild.
Surviving are his wife, Brooksie Cross Eggleston; daughter, Carolyn Heasley and her husband, Ronald of Paden City, WV; daughter-in-law, Doris Eggleston of New Martinsville; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, six step-children, sixteen step-grandchildren, several step-great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, Paden City, WV.
Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.
