I have additional info on Hon. John K. Whitney. b. Saint Armand Providence, Quebec, Canada; d. East Franklin, Franklin, Vermont, USA. Mr. Whitney was a native of Saint Armand, QC, where he continued to reside until some time after he was married, when he removed to East Franklin. He was by occupation a farmer. He twice represented the town in the General Assembly in 1859 and 1860, and also at the extra session in the spring of 1861. He was twice elected commissioner for the county and twice county judge in 1869 and 1870. He was justice of the peace for nearly a score of years. He was active in the temperance reform and manifested a good degree of interest in the social, intellectual and religious advantages of the community, and was respected by all who knew him. He was a kind husband and loving father. He resided East Franklin, VT.
