Anna died immediately after giving birth to Anna Maria.
In 1771-2, her husband and a colleague had gone to France. Anna joined him there for a period, but returned to England for the birth of Anna Maria.
The Edgeworth family home was at Hare Hatch, between Reading and Maidenhead. The Elers family home was at Black Bourton, Oxfordshire. Where she gave birth and died is not known.
She was probably at Hare Hatch when she died, and was possibly buried near there.
