On March 21, 1901, Johanna and James Knut Olson were married. James was a native of Skeglinge, Malmo, Sweden, the son of Knut and Elna Jonson Olson. He came with his family to Utah in 1864.
Johanna and James then moved to Trenton, Utah, where he farmed for a living.
James was accidentally killed when hit by a train during a blizzard on January 28, 1921.
James and Johanna were the parents of: James Henry (Lorna Katheryn Wilson), Ellen (Walley D. Houde), Hilma (Ralph Lovett Griffin), Elizabeth (Frank James Baker), William Edward (Mabel I. Davidson), Leslie Olof (Stella Kent, Shirley Wheelwright), Marie (Dennis Carman Peterson, Rex Leo Worley) and Matilda (Darrell James Taylor).
