Nicey Lee Richmond was born in Vance, Mississippi on October 11, 1922 to the union of Ishman and Mary Moore.
Nicey married Marvin Richmond, who preceded her in death. Marvin and Nicey moved to IL in 1954 and to Chicago in the 1960's. She was a loyal member of Seventh Star Baptist Church and a grandmother of GOLD.
The door to her life was silently closed on Monday, February 4, 2002. She leaves to cherish her memory: three sisters, Luneatha Moore, Essie Sheridan, and Mary L. Lee; twelve children, William D. Morris, Emma Gene Moss, Edna Richmond, Thelma Davis, Marvin Richmond Jr., Bertha Richmond, Kathleen "Sweet Eye" Ivy, Velma "Peaches" Richmond, Calvin Richmond, Louis "Mickey" Richmond, Lauretta Richmond, and Mary Richmond. Fifty-five (and counting) grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; a very special God-son, Curtis Sims; a very special God-daughter, Jennifer Rowden; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
*Note: Amidst the chaos at Burr Oak Cemetary, we pray that Nicey Lee Richmond (mother, grandmother, and sister) final resting place is covered by the Blood and has not been disturbed.
