ENVER, N.C. | Janet Rae Bacon, 50, died Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
She was born July 29, 1956 in Buffalo, New York, a daughter of Glen and Marilyn Gall Ostrander.
Janet received her Bachelor's degree in 1978 from Cornell School of Human Ecology, a Master's degree from the University of New Haven and was a certified CPA. She was a founding member of the Kappa Delta Sorority at Cornell University and her favorite High School sports activity was synchronized swimming.
Mrs. Bacon was a loving daughter, wife, mother and sister, and will be dearly missed by all who had the chance to know her.
Survivors in addition to her parents of Myrtle Beach, S.C., include her loving husband, Marc Robert Bacon, they were married November 21, 1992 at St. Philips Lutheran Church, and their two children, Jennifer ''Jenny'' Bacon and Robert ''Robby'' Bacon, all of Denver, N.C.; a brother, Gregory Ostrander of Charlotte, N.C.; and her sister, Kristen M. Scarborough and husband, Robert, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The graveside funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2007, at Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Thomas BeMiller officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m., Sunday, July 8, 2007, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made in Janet's memory to the animal shelter of one's choice, as Janet had a great love for all animals.
