Ellen Osborne was born in Illinois January 15, 1867, and passed away at Hot Springs, S.D., March 25, 1933 aged 66 years 2 months and 10 days. In 1870 she came to Kansas with her parents.
She was married to Albert B. Pecht August 19, 1886. To this union were born five children. They resided in Hardy and vicinity until 1907 when they moved to Wyoming and later to Hot Springs, S.D., where she has made her home the past twenty-two years.
She was a member of the Evengelical Lutheran Church. She was known among relatives and friends as having a loving and unselfish disposition and always ready and happy to do for others more than herself.
The deceased is survived by four children: Jesse W. of Hardy; Grace May of Lewistown, Mont.; Sylvia A. of Omaha; and Glen W. of Hastings. There are ten living grand children, six brothers and two sisters. All reside in the immediate vicinity except one who is in Denver.
Funeral services were held at Lutheran Church March 29th, conducted by Rev. R.V. Davis, and interment made in Rose Mound cemetery. -- Hardy Herald.
