Gladys (Waite) Floch
10/15/06 — JAMESTOWN — Gladys (Waite) Floch, 50, of 2801 Summit Road, Jamestown, died Friday. Oct. 13, 2006, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Dec. 3, 1955, in Greenville, a daughter of Grover C. and Alice M. Selvage Waite of Jamestown. She married Gary Floch on Jan. 13, 1973. He survives.
She was employed in the cafeteria of Jamestown Elementary School and attended Stateline United Methodist Church of Jamestown.
She enjoyed life, being with family, grandchildren and friends, and sunbathing by the pool. She loved her job as "Lunch Lady" at the elementary school, where she liked seeing and talking with the kids. She was just a great, likable person who liked everyone.
In addition to her husband of 33 years, she is survived by her mother, Alice Waite; a son, Gary R. Floch Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Jamestown; two daughters, Theresa Goodlin, and her husband, Thomas, of Jamestown; and Somer Floch of Mocomb, Mich.; four sisters, Ruth Hunt and her husband, Bob, of Kinsman, Ohio; Delores McClimans of Greenville, Rose Calvin and her husband, Randy, of Jamestown; and Hannah Tate, and her husband, Rod, of Jamestown; two brothers, Zeb Waite of Jamestown; and Harold Waite and his wife, Jackie, of Conway, Ark.; granddaughter Alexis Goodlin, grandson Hunter Goodlin, Jed Goodlin, granddaughter Maya Floch and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Sherbondy and Jean E. Herrick.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Randall Funeral Home, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
A religious service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Stateline United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Goodnough, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery, Jamestown.
