Floyd G. Harper passed away on Monday, January 6, 1997 at Crosslands Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandy, Utah of causes incident to age. He was attended during his final illness by his loving family.


Born in Albian, Idaho, the son of Joseph Harper and Sarah Baty Harper.


Educated in Idaho and Utah, including three years of business college.


He married Mildred Iona Biddinger on October 12, 1942. She preceded him in death on July 4, 1961. He later married Dott Jensen Roberts on November 13, 1970. She also preceded him in death.


He was an active member of the LDS Church and valiantly served two 18 month Family History Missions after retiring from Chevron U.S.A. He also served faithfully in many other church callings throughout his life.


He was the last living child of Joseph and Sarah Harper, being preceded in death by Golden, Rawlins, Horace, his twin, Lloyd, Victor and Norene.


He is survived by two daughters, Mary (Craig) Wentz, of Sandy, Utah and Jean (Don) McPhie of Granite Bay, California. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Derek, Christian, Jonathan, Adam and Katie Wentz, and by Garth, Gavin, Molly, Ryan and Emily McPhie. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cathrine Sara Grant. Cathrine is survived by her husband, Richard and their children, Deborah, Elizabeth, and Richard Jr.


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 1997 at 2 p.m. in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple Street. The family will greet friends at 1 p.m. prior to the services.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
