Willie Mae Dockery, a native Tennessean and long-time Illinois resident, died Wednesday, February 26, 1986. Mrs. Dockery, widow of William Burnett Dockery, was a long-standing member of Davis Memorial AME Church. William and Willie Mae were married on July 30, 1938. She leaves a surviving family including a brother, Limon P. Bacon, Sr., Concord, Tennessee; a foster son, George Thomas Dockery, Aurora Illinois; a foster granddaughter, Charisma Dockery, two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Anna Sue O'Neal, LaGrange, Illinois and Mary Emma Hairston, Dandridge, Tennessee.

Other family members include two nephews, Limon P. Bacon Jr. and Hearl S. Bacon; two great nieces, Joanne and Alaina Bacon and great nephew, Jason Bacon.

Devoted and loving friends, Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt McClinton, LA Grange, Illinois and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Branner, Maryville, Tennessee.

Visitation will be held at Hollowell and James Funeral Home, La Grange, Illinois on Friday, February 28, 1986. Funeral service was held at Concord AME Zion Church, Concord, Tennessee. Interment will be in Pleasant Forest Cemetery in Concord, Tennessee.

Per the 1920 census, her parents were Mary and William Bacon and her brothers were Hearl and Limon.
