Armstrong, Alvie Davidson, age 90, of Tullahoma, died April 30, 2009, at Harton Medical Center in Tullahoma, TN. Mr. Armstrong was a retired Night Watchman with Wilson Sporting Goods and was an Army Veteran of W.W.II. Mr. Armstrong was a member of First Baptist Church here in Tullahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvie Jess Armstrong and Ethel Pearle Anthony Armstrong; a son, Paul Armstrong; a sister, Goldie Teal; and a brother, Arthur D. Armstrong. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice Phyllis Armstrong of Tullahoma; two daughters, Kathleen Armstrong of Centreville, VA and Robin Saylor of Tullahoma; and one grandchild, Sierra of Danville, KY. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2009, at 2:30 at the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Watts officiating. Burial will be at the Blanton Cemetery in Coffee County.
