Beryle Francis Chaplin Bond, age 79, of Meadow, Utah, died on January 5, 1997 at the Nephi Hospital.
She was born December 28, 1917 in Columbus, Nebraska to Addison Leo and Maude Vera Bloom Chaplin.
She married Calvin LeRoy Bond on December 11, 1934 in Fillmore, Utah. He died on October 27, 1982.
Beryle was a member of the LDS Church, coached girl's softball for may years, and taught 4-H sewing and cooking. She was a telephone operator in Meadow before the new dial system came in. She cooked in a cafe, was a sewing machine operator, and a floor lady. She was the Kanosh Postmaster for 11 years.
Survived by children: daughter, Yvonne (Wally) Hancock of Fillmore; sons, Dennis L. (Shirleen) of Meadow, Ronald C. (Connie) of Sandy, and Dale P. (Deila) of Delta; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; brother, Don Chaplin, and half sister, Ruth Mason, both of Kanab. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Jean, and a grandson, Calvin James Bond.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Meadow Ward Chapel. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Meadow Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Mortuary.
