Birth: 25 Dec 1916 in Aurora, Hamilton County, Nebraska
Death: 17 Dec 2001 in Omaha, Nebraska
Parents: Frank Cochran (1879-1946)and Laura Mae Smith, Cochran,(1880-1956).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph,
Lloyd,Victor,and Howard Cochran. Her sisters, Goergia Barnes, Vivian Keel,Orpha
Bruffey. Her grandson Ron K Fiscus on November 28, 1992 and her special friend
Winnie attended Country school and graduated from Aurora High School in 1935.
Winnie waitressed at various Harlan Resturants for several years and later
worked at Communication Data Services, also in Harlan. She loved sports,
especially the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers, and enjoyed watching their
games on television. She was a serious card player who didn't miss many games
with her friends at the Westridge Apartments. She also loved reading the Omaha
World Herald and doing crossword puzzles.
Winnie was a women full of strength, courage and even when it came to times of
tough love, always garnered respect from her children which made them survivors
in life itself.
Winnie is survived by her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other
relatives and friends.
