MARTIN VANBUREN WOMMACK
Martin Vanburen Wommack, 70, died about noon today in the home of his son, the Rev. Melvin Wommack, 833 south Broadway.
He was a retired farmer, and had lived in and around Springfield all of his life. He was the uncle of Sheriff Ruel Wommack, and was a member of the Cedar Bluff church.
Survivors besides his son, are another son, Sidney of Springfield: two daughters, Mrs. Maude Brown of Fair Grove and Mrs. Theresa Owen of Springfield; one brother, Frank, Fair Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Louisa Davenport of Fair Grove, and Mrs. J. H. Hartley of Springfield: and 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Cedar Bluff Baptist church with the Rev. Earl French officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Bluff Baptist cemetery under the direction of the Thieme funeral home.
