My oldest brother, from Dad's first marriage.
Born in Farmington, Maine on 4 October 1927 the son of Herbert F. Stevens, Jr. and Flora (Morang) Stevens.
Served in the Army during World War II and recieved an hororable discharge as a PFC.
He was employed for more than 27 years at the VA Medicial Center - Togas as a medical photographer.
He was actively involved in his local community of West Gardiner, serving as a selectman, plumbing inspector and code enforcement officer.
He was a graduate of Cony High School in Augusta.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Janet (Russell) Stevens: two daughters Sandra Tracy and husband Linwood and Kelley VanHeuklom and husband James. Survivors also include his brother Horace F. Stevens, half-brothers O. Jacob Stevens and Earl C. Stevens: half-sisters Mary P. Nunan, Amy M. Stevens, Susan M. Nay and Helen Hickman: grandchildren include William Tilley and Ashley VanHeuklom and great-grand daughter Amber Tilley.
He was predeceased by his half-brother Owen R. Stevens and half-sister Theresa Matson.
