Richard Eudean Banister, 62, of Fort Collins, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1994, in Fort Collins.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Dec. 18, at First United Methodist Church in Fort Collins. Funeral is 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia, Kan., with interment at Haworth Cemetery, in Lyon County, Kan. Mr. Banister was born August 17, 1932, in Lyon County, Kan. to Everett Orval and Erma Gertrude Banister.
He grew up in Emporia, Kan.and graduated from Emporia High
School in 1952, and Emporia State University. He served in the U.S.Marine Corp as a drill instructor at San Siego,Calif.
He married Jo Ann Jacobs on December 6, 1953 in Emporia, Kan.
Mr. Banister spent 15 years as a teacher and athletic coach at several Kansas high schools, the College of Emporia, and Emporia State University. In 1974, he moved to Sterling, to take the position of assistant principal at Sterling High School. He assumed duties as assistant principal at Poudre High School, Fort Collins, in 1980
until his retirement in 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Banister of Fort Collins; two daughters, Kathleen Bee of Fort Collins and Marianne Wagonhurst of Agoura, Calif.; one son, Brian Banister of Fort Collins; one brother, Edwin Banister of Shell Knob, Mo.; one sister, Barbara Warren of Overland Park, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Banister was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Maxine LaJoyce Schaeffer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dick Banister Memo rial Fund, do Bill Summey, Poudre High School, 201 N. Im pala Drive, Fort Collins, Cob. 80521. This memorial will provide for an annual award to be given to an outstanding teacher at Poudre High School

K-CLUB MEMBERS BACK TO CAMPUS FOR HOMECOMING

Nearly 60 members of the K-Club, Emporia State College's organization for athletics, attended the club's 1964 meeting Saturday morning at the Black and Gold Room, Student Union Building.

The K-Club members represent a span of a half-century in E-State athletics. Most of the members were on the football, basketball or track teams.

The 1964 reunion of the K-Clubbers was sponsored by Everett D. (Gus) Fish. Keith E. Caywood, football coach, introduced the captains of the athletic teams and a talk on the E-State physical education and athletic programs was given by Dr. Joseph M. Pease, head of the Physical Education Department.

Senior members of the K-Club attending were two Emporians, Andrew E. Buck and C. H. Belting.

Others introduced during the homecoming game were:
