Clem was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked very hard to provide for his large family. He set a good example and instilled in his children a good work ethic.

Though his family did not have much in the way of material possessions, they were loved. They are very family oriented.

Clem is the son of Henry Clay Dodson and Lucy Olive (Bertram) Dodson Gather.

He was a WWI veteran. He served in U. S. National Army Military. Private First Class. Honorable Discharge. Active Service Dates July 25, 1918 to May 14, 1919. Foreign Service: September 26, 1918 to May 9, 1919.

Certification of Military Service received from the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, Missouri on August 28, 1972.
