"DEATH OF WM. R. KIRK. Word was received in this city a few days ago of the death, at his home near Columbus, Cherokee County, Kan., of Wm. R. Kirk, a brother of Eli Kirk of this city and formerly a resident of this county. His death was very sudden and occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 24. He was about 70 years old and the father of a large family of children, all of whom are grown. He used to live one mile west of Parsonsville, on the farm now owned by the widow of the late Jerome Parsons, to whom he sold when he left here 25 years ago."
