Mrs. Watkins was the widow of the late John W. Watkins and had lived all of her life in this county, most of the time in Caruthersville. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services were held at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel Thursday afternoon, March 25, at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. D.K. Foster. Interment followed in Maple cemetery.
The deceased is survived by four sons, Charles Bradley of this city, William Watkins of Poplar Bluff, Wilson Watkins of Essex, Mo. and Cecil Watkins of Ridgley, Tenn.; four stepsons, Guy Watkins of Hayti, Earl Watkins of St. Louis, Lewis Watkins of Thayer, Mo. and Bryan Watkins of Sikeston; one daughter, Mrs. Imogene Christian of Poplar Bluff; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Myrtle Burgess of Walnut Ridge, Ark. and Mrs. Brooksie Pruiett of Sikeston; and two half-brothers, Will Camp of Wardell and Don Kirkpatrick of Tulsa, Okla.
