Lester Brewer, 71, of Wolfforth, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009, in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held on at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Lester was born on December 8, 1937 to the late Herman Lester and Willie Marie (Rodgers) Brewer in Paragould, Ark. He married Melba Clem on May 25, 1957, in Slaton, Texas.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 52 years, Melba, of Wolfforth; three sons, Les Brewer and wife Leslie of Wolfforth, Guy Brewer and wife Roni of Brookshire, and Joe Brewer and wife Suevelyn of Wolfforth; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Barbara Kelley, of Oak Creek.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Omalee Bullock.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial be made to Hospice of Lubbock.
