Wilton L. "Bill" Armour, 93, of Sterling, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 1993, in Sterling.
Closed casket visitation began at 10 a.m. today at Chaney-Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Closed casket services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church of Sterling. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Ivan Rundus and assistant Debbie Hessler will conduct the services. Mr. Armour was born Dec. 14,1900, on a farm near Rock Lake,N.D., the son of Angus and Annie
Hollingshead Armour. He came to Sterling in 1924. He married Ruth E. Hoff Oct. 7, 1928, in Fort Morgan.
He was an agent for New York Life Insurance Co. for 65 years. He was a member of the First Presby terian Church for 69 years, chairman of the Logan County Hospital Board for 32 years and a member of the hospital board of trustees for 18 years.
Mr. Armour is survived by Sons Alan and wife Iola Armour of
Tucson, Ariz., and Tom and wife Julie Armour of Colorado Springs; grandchildren Ross Armour and Jill Armour both of Salt Lake City, and Necole, Jason and Justin Armour all of Manitou Springs; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, and by two brothers and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyte rian Church E.L.M.S.T. fund.
