Margaret L. Kirchner

Margaret L. Kirchner, age 79, of 2829 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA, formerly of Laurel St., Lancaster and Millersville Manor Apartments, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Lancashire Hall.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Avril and Fern Smith Sourbeer and the wife of the late Paul N. Kirchner Sr., who died in Oct. 2003.

Margaret was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching the Phillies play baseball, watching John Wayne movies and spending time with her family.

Surviving are a son Paul N. Kirchner, Jr. husband of Julia, Lititz; two daughters Judy Mattern, wife of Michael, York; Tammy Fritsch, wife of Bill, York; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren ; a sister Catherine Mull, Millersville; two brothers Richard and Terry Sourbeer, both of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a sister Jane Weaver and a brother Avril Sourbeer, Jr.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Margaret's Life Celebration Funeral Service at the Funeral Home of Fred F. Groff, Inc., 234 W. Orange St., Lancaster, PA, on Monday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Msgr. Thomas H. Smith officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at Groff's on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service. If desired, memorial contributions may be sent to the Lancaster Area Kidney Association, P.O.
