The lady was the mother of ten children, seven of whom survive her, ranging in ages from one to 19 years. She was taken down with typhoid fever several months ago, succeeding two attacks by her husband, two by on son and one attack by another son. She never fully recovered from this severe sickness. She was finally operated upon and to within a couple of days before death was doing splendidly. Besides her husband and children, she is survived by six brothers and two sisters. One of the former, Frank Skidmore, resides in Montrose.
The baby is being kept in the family of Chas. Newton, while the next two smaller, Clyde and Elsie, are in the home of Dr. Washburn.
The father and eldest son are not yet able to resume manual labor. The family desire to express thru these columns their heartfelt thankfulness to the many Montrose people who have been so kind to them in their sickness and misfortune."
