Notes: James Nicholl. James Nicholl, for most of his life identified with the stone quarrying industry in the Amherst area, died yesterday in St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain. He had been a patient there for a week. Born in Amherst 80 years ago, Mr. Nicholl worked for many years for the Cleveland Stone Co. in South Amherst. In 1926 he organized the Nicholl Stone Co. From that time until his death he was superintendent on us querying operations. He was a member of Amherst Congregational Church. Surviving him are two brothers, Harry and Albert. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Emmerich funeral home in Amherst. Burial will be in Brownhelm Cemetery.
