Utica Observer-Dispatch, Saturday, Feb. 22, 1975 ~ Lawrence M Utter, 43, Nellis Street, Nelliston, died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam. He was born in Canajoharie, son of Alton and Florence Kling Utter, and attended Fort Plain Schools. He married Elizabeth Davi in 1957. He had been employed as an agent for the John Hancock Insurance Co. He was a member of the Mohawk Valley Post. VFW. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Valerie and Vikki Utter, both of Nelliston, six brothers, Alton Jr. of Peekskill, Philip of Glendale, Ariz., William of Plattsburgh, Richard of Wayne, N.J., Robert of Rochester and Gerald of Fort Plain and two sisters, Mrs. Roseanne Ehle of Rochester and Mrs. Elinor Morris of Menda. The funeral will be at 11 Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, Fort Plain. Burial will be in the Fort Plain Cemetery this spring. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 tomorrow.
