Born in Clay County,Tenn.,he was the son of Rad and Enzie "Lady" (Bland)Ferguson, and the husband of Elsie(Scott)Ferguson who survives.
In addition to his wife,he is survived by three sons,Robert,John W. and William Douglas Ferguson,all of Indianapolis;five daughters,Betty Cummings,Bonnie Eversole,Rosemary Barger and Clevil Smith,all of Indianapolis, and Sarah Ferguson, St. George,Utah;one brother, Orville"Buck" Ferguson,Indianaoplis;and six sisters,Nellie Hanks, Zelma Davis,Elease Davis,Marriel Ferguson and Edress Thompson,all of Tompkinsville and Jessie Pearl Hale,Lafayette,Tenn.
There are 32 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted in the East Washington Street Chapel of Moore and Kirk Funeral Home with Bro.Burney Joe Scott officiating.Burial was in New Crown Hill Cemetery.
