John Schenck married Naomi Pike, a survivor of the Donner Party, in about 1877 in The Dalles, Oregon. John was then an agent of the Oregon Railroad and Navigation Company in The Dalles. Later he became President of The Dalles First National Bank. When Schenck died in 1913 he left Naomi a wealthy widow. They had no children.
