George C. Renner Sr., 79, passed away peacefully Sunday, may 10, 2009 at New life Hospice Of St. Joseph. He was born July 25, 1929 in Warren,Ohio and was raised in Everson, PA. He has resided in Lorain for the past 54 years. Mr. Renner served in the Army during the Korean war and was employed by B.F. Goodrich in Avon Lake for 38 years until his retirement in 1992. he was an avid golfer, enjoyed sports and spending time with his family. he was a long time member of the Lorain United Polish Club, a life time member of the Everson VFW and belonged to the American Legion and Amherst Eagles.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy (nee Miceli); daughters Susan (Charles) Stang of Columbus and Patricia of Lorain; son George Jr. (Mary) of Lorain; 2 grandchildren; and sister Catherine Firlik of Dearborn, MI.
He was preceded in death buy his parents, George and Mildred Renner of Everson, PA.
