"Mrs. Clara A. Herber, 71, died Sunday at 12:10 p.m. at Mercy Hospital following an illness of three years. She had been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Audrey Kirsch, 1329 Sixth St.
"Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Drews, she was born June 9, 1885, in Neenah. She was married May 11, 1910, in Sheboygan Falls to Anthony H. Herber, who preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 1955. She resided in Oshkosh for the past 31 years. Mrs. Herber was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and ERA.
"Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kirsch in Oshkosh and Mrs. Elaine Steinhilber, also of Oshkosh; two sons, Joseph H. and Anthony W. Herber Jr., Oshkosh; two brothers, John Drews, Oshkosh, and David Drews, Neenah; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Steuck, Mrs. Anna Lisbeth and Mrs. Nina Knoll, Oshkosh, and Miss Elsie Drews, Wauwatosa; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. One brother, Louis Drews, died in 1955, and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Wood, also preceded her in death.
"Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Spikes, McDonald & Harford Funeral Home, with the Rev. K. R. Going, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. on Tuesday until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, and at the church on Wednesday from noon until the hour of services."
