Adin Argus Gazette 16 May 1952, Death Claims T. A. Barrows Thursday. Thomas
Albert Barrows, 81, passed away suddenly as his Round Valley ranch home early
Thursday morning. He died shortly after drinking a glass of water in the kitchen
of his home.
A native Californian, born at Sawyers Bar, Siskiyou County, "Bert" was a
resident of the Adin area for 27 years and was well known in cattlemens circles.
Besides his wife, Lulu, Mr. Barrows is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lois
McClure of Yreka, two sons, Clyde of Eugene, Ore. and Thomas of Adin; and a half
brother Wesley Downing of Arcata.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon May 18 at 2 o'clock in the Adin
Community Center with Joe T. Steele officiating. Internmentwill be made in the
Adin Cemetery under the auspices of the Ryan Funeral Home.
