Margaret J. White , 92, Congress Street, died Sunday evening at her home with her family at her side.
Mrs. White retired in 1964 as bookkeeper for Fletcher-McCarthy Construction Co. Previously she was a nurse's aide at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital and a payroll clerk at George Hall Corp.
Born March 3, 1913 in Ogdensburg, she was a daughter of Leon and Margaret Gay Rebideau and stepdaughter of Capt. Ed Burns. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and attended night classes in clerical training at George Hall Trade School.
She married Gerald F. White on Oct. 10, 1935, in St. Mary's Rectory, with the Rev. V.N. Zimmerman officiating. Mr. White died Jan. 13, 2001.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, knitting, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, three daughters and two sons-in-law, 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A brother, Lee Rebideau, a sister, Gladys Sarsfield, and an infant sister died before her.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating.
Burial will follow in Foxwood Memorial Park.
