Mary married Richard Dubois about 1936 in IN and had two sons. She married Archie Lee Kendall, Sr on May 8, 1943 at Louisville, Jefferson Co, KY and they had 4 children. After Arcbie died in 1952, she married Clifford I Atkins and had two daughters.

Mary E Atkins, 65 of 3328 W Kentucky St, died Wednesday at Humana Hospital University. She was a native of Sheperdsville and a former employee of Parrot Cleaners. Survivors include her husband, Clifford Atkins; three sons, Archie Kendall and Richard Dubois, both of Hayward, CA and Chester Dubois of Castro Valley, CA; five daughters, Janie Cole of Dayton, Wanda Troupe of San Diego, Mary Houchins. Betty Thompson and Sheila Coulter; two step-daughters, Gladys Kendall of Texas and Margaret Williams of Brownsville, IN; a brother Carl Johnson. two sisters. Ruby Gibbs of Georgia and Della Bunch; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10am Saturday at Portland Memorial Chapel, 518 N 28th St with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 5pm Thursday.
