Ruth P. Welsh, 78, of R.D. 2 Riverside Drive, Ogdensburg, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Nursing Home.
The funeral will be today at 4 p.m. at the Foxwood Memorial Park chapel with the Rev. Joesph Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the Fox Memorial Park cemetery.
Mrs. Welsh is survived by two sons, a daughter, a sister, nine grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Two brothers died before her.
She was born Oct. 21, 1912 in Hackensack, N.J., the daughter of John and Esther Harris Wallace.
She married James D. Welsh June 1, 1934 at St. Patrick's Church, Newburgh. Mr. Welsh died June 2, 1989.
After their marriage, the couple lived in Newburgh until 1968 and moved to Beacon until 1971. They lived on Riverside Drive, Ogdensburg for many years.
Mrs. Welsh was a member of the Notre Dame Church.
