John R. Weinhold, 61, Route 1, died Saturday evening at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Fay G. Mann Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Lauterbach officiating. Burial will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, a grandson; four brothers, three sisters, and several nephews, nieces, cousins and aunts.
Born in Philadelphia on March 4, 1929, a son of Charles A. and Carrie Parker Weinhold, he attended Watertown schools and was a 1947 graduate of Philadelphia High School. He married Carol Rourke on Nov. 19, 1955, at the Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lawrence Heatherington officiating.
Mr. Weinhold served with the Navy until his retirement in 1967 as a chief petty officer, after 21 years of service. He was later employed with Corning Glass Works until his retirement in 1980 because of ill health.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Masonic Lodge 393, Waddington.
