Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the US Army in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He served as a Corporal in Company D, 8th US Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action at Red Creek, Arizona Territory, on September 23, 1869. His citation reads "Gallantry in action." (bio by: Don Morfe)
