Catherine H. "Sis" Ward, 79, Deerfield Beach, Fla., formerly of Riverside Drive, died Tuesday morning at the Broward Medical Center, Boca Raton, Fla.
Mrs. Ward was a homemaker.
She was active in the Ogdensburg Community Players and St. Mary's Cathedral choir, was a member of a women's golf league and enjoyed traveling.
Born Aug. 29, 1922, in Ogdensburg, daughter of Henry and Helen Gillespie Sharrow, she graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1940.
She married James G. Ward on July 11, 1945, at St. Ann's Church, San Diego, Calif. Mr. Ward , former chief recreation director of the West Seneca Development Center, Orchard Park, died Oct. 22, 1988. The couple had moved to Ogdensburg after his retirement in 1978.
Surviving are a sister, a brother, and several nieces and nephews.
A prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Fox-McLellan Funeral Home, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral with Monsignor Paul E. Whitmore, pastor of St. Martin's Church, Port Leyden, and Deacon D. Thomas Sharrow, Mrs. Ward's nephew, officiating. Entombment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.
