George E. Walker, 59, of 1741 County Route 28, died Sunday morning at Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg, after being stricken at his home with an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Walker had operated a dairy farm, Pinevue Acres, since 1961. He previously was assistant manager of Agway in Madrid for 10 years.
He was a member of Farm Bureau, director of the Allied Federal Co-op, past president of Lisbon Milk Co-op and a member of Chipman Presbyterian Church.
Born March 14, 1938, son of Lloyd and Mary Fields Walker, he graduated from Madrid High School in 1956.
He married Sharon Grenier on May 17, 1958, at Sts. Philip and James Church. The couple resided in Madrid for 10 years.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, two daughters, his stepmother, a sister, a stepsister, two stepbrothers, nine grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, with the Rev. Janice Fife officiating. Burial will be in Foxwood Memorial Park, Ogdensburg.
