Leslie C. Turnbull, 80, of 120 Ford Drive, North Syracuse, formerly of Gouverneur, died Monday at his home after a long illness.
A private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the Fairchild & Meech Syracuse Chapel.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys; two daughters, Clara Swift, Morristown, and Joyce Wolfinbarter, Sevierville, Tenn.;eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Born in Gouverneur Dec. 31, 1908, a son of Cord and Carey Risdale Turnbull, he married Gladys Shippee in September 1926.
Mr. Turnbull operated a farm on the Island Branch Road from 1928 until moving to Syracuse in 1957. After that, he was employed by the Crouse Hinds Co., Syracuse, retiring in 1974.
