Zola Grant Anderson, 82, died February 20, 2002 at her daughter's home in Sandy.

She was born May 3, 1919 in American Fork to James Mark and Merma Lyle Nash Grant.

She married Earl S. Anderson Feb. 15, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Earl died August 11, 1992.

Zola was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many capacities, including fulfilling a Name Extraction Mission with her husband.

She and her husband co-owned and operated Anderson & Sons Mortuary in American Fork for 35 years, and she was one of the first female licensed Funeral Directors in the state.

She was a member of several civic organizations including the Ladies Literary club, and was the President of the Ladies auxiliary for UFDA.

She enjoyed painting and gardening.

She loved to have her family in her home, especially her grandchildren.

She had a unique personal relationship with each of her grandchildren; and was proud to contribute financially to help support those who served missions.

When her grandchildren married, she was extremely loving and welcomed their spouses into her home as members of the family.

She is survived by a son and two daughters: Alan (Annette) Anderson, American Fork, UT (currently presiding over the Brazil, Rio de Janeiro North Mission); Dorothy (Ross) Buckwalter, Sandy, UT; Janet (Scott) Stufflebeam, Blackfoot, ID; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Nash Grant and Mark Grant; and two sisters, Dorothy Wright and Merma Carlisle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 25, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the American Fork 26th Ward, 975 North 60 East.

A viewing will be held Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and also on Monday at the church from 9:30-10:45 a.m.

Interment, American Fork Cemetery.
