Gertrude A. "Trudy" Seymour Sullivan, 52, Chippewa Bay Road, native of Watertown, long-time resident of the Hammond area, died Friday morning in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where she had been a patient one month. She had been ill with cancer.
A private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Foxwood Memorial Park, Ogdensburg.
Surviving are her husband, James J.; two sons, three daughters, seven grandchildren; her mother, a brother, a sister, and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was born Sept. 26, 1940, in Watertown, a daughter of Ellsworth and Oletha George Seymour. She graduated from Hammond High School in 1958.
She married James J. Sullivan Nov. 15, 1958, at St. Peter's Church in Hammond with the Rev. Gilbert Faucher officiating.
The couple had resided at their Chippewa Bay Road home all of their married life. They operated a dairy farm.
Mrs. Sullivan was also an Avon products representative for the past 10 years and had been a census taker in 1980 and 1990.
