Lawman turned Badman.

George Edgar "Ed" Scarborugh was an Arizona - New Mexico Territory Ranger. On 6 September 1901 Ed Scarborough became one of the first Arizona Rangers. On 31 May 1902 at Ranger headquarters in Bisbee, Arizona he was formally discharged from service.

Ed was charged with murder, after killing John Clinton, on June 8, 1915, who was a rancher in Cochise County, AZ.

He escaped from The Arizona State Prison in Florence on May 25, 1917 and has never been captured.

According to family, Ed had a ranch in Mexico and he'd sneak across to California to see his mother every once in a while. After his mother died in 1949 the family lost all track of him.
