Elizabeth M. Husty (nee Gearde), 86, of Lorain, died peacefully under hospice care in the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland March 6, 2009.

On May 20, 1922, she was born to the late Francesco and Maria (nee Greco) Gearde in Riverville, West Virginia. She came to Lorain in 1947.

During WWII, Mrs. Husty worked for Westinghouse in West Virginia.

She was a devoted and selfless homemaker and mother, who was a member of Saint John the bapist Catholic Church, Lorain. She enjoyed flowers, canning her own produce, wathcing the Cleveland indians, and the Food Channel. She was a great cook and generous neighbor.

She will be deeply missed by her children George Husty, III, Annette (Robert) Sexstella and Mary (George) Renner all of Lorain., brothers David (Pat) Gearde of Rivesille and Frank (Carolyn) Gearde of Hobe Sound, Flarida. Sisters Rose Mary Liberto and Josephine Pobega of Rivesville.
She will be especially missed by her four grand children, and many neices and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Husty Jr. last year, and sister Agnes Davoli and a brother Joseph Gearde.
